The nofdp IDSS (Nature Oriented Flood Damage Prevention, Information and Decision Support System) is an open source application for the interactive development of flood risk strategies and 1D hydrodynamic flood simulation. Additional modules for ecological and spatial analysis, multi criteria evaluation, flood risk maps, flood frequency, flood duration and communication are included.

Armando Barreto, a student at the University of Arizona, wrote me about his new free tool will extract geometric data contained in ESRI-shape files into EPANet INP files. shp2epa was designed with an interface similar to dxf2epa for a familiar feeling for the user.

optiUnits (beta) is a freeware tool that will allow the user to convert an EPANet model from one set of units to a different one.

Usage:

Export your model from EPANet to an INP file.
Run optiUnits.
Click the File button and select the INP file.
From the drop-down box, select the unit set that you want to convert [...]

CHECK-RAS, Version 1.4, is a program designed to verify the validity of an assortment of parameters found in the HEC-RAS hydraulic modeling program. This program can only be installed on computers with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP operating systems.
CHECK-RAS is available at FEMA web site.
