WANDA 3 is an advanced, interactive software package to support the hydraulic design process of your pipeline system. The program is used for the hydraulic analysis of steady and unsteady flow conditions in arbitrary configured pipeline networks. Primary subjects to evaluate and optimise a hydraulic design are flow capacity, velocity, flow distribution, dynamic behaviour, economy, safety and control principles. With a hydraulic design, you can direct the mechanical and process engineering to an effective and efficient system.

WANDA can be applied to a variety of types of pipeline systems, like fire fighting systems, sewer systems, water distribution networks, industrial plants, oil pipelines, water cooling systems, hydropower plants and transportation systems for chemical products.

The three main modules of WANDA are:

WANDA Engineering
WANDA Engineering is the basis of the Wanda software. It is used for pre-design and detailed design of arbitrary hydraulic systems, with particular attention for pump stations and evaluation of steady state conditions. WANDA offers you a wide range of hydraulic components. Many hydraulic components have a simple data specification for basic design calculations. If more data is available or required during detailed design phase, then a more complete model can be applied without changing the hydraulic scheme. Furthermore many components contain properties to support flow and/or pressure balancing; e.g. the initial flow through a valve or pump is specified and required valve position or pump speed is calculated.

WANDA Transient
WANDA Transient is an extension of WANDA Engineering and used for the evaluation of the dynamic behaviour of a system in normal operation or during emergencies. WANDA calculates the fluid transients (Waterhammer), caused by e.g. pump trip of valve closure, in arbitrary pipe systems. After and even during the calculations, time and location charts can be created of all calculated quantities. In order to study the dynamic behaviour in detail, pressures, heads, velocities or flow rates can be displayed in a movie.

WANDA Control
WANDA Control is an extension of WANDA Transient and used for evaluation of the integrated behaviour of the hydraulic system and control loops. You can design a control system to optimise the safety and integrity of a piping system at minimum cost.
