{"id":887,"date":"2011-09-28T15:42:15","date_gmt":"2011-09-28T12:42:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.water-simulation.com\/wsp\/?p=887"},"modified":"2014-03-06T10:32:19","modified_gmt":"2014-03-06T07:32:19","slug":"eds-challenge-overview-and-some-preliminary-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.water-simulation.com\/wsp\/2011\/09\/28\/eds-challenge-overview-and-some-preliminary-results\/","title":{"rendered":"EDS Challenge: Overview and Some Preliminary Results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have been participating in the EPA&#8217;s <a title=\"EPA's Event Detection System Challenge\" href=\"http:\/\/water.epa.gov\/infrastructure\/watersecurity\/lawsregs\/initiative.cfm\">Event Detection System Challenge<\/a> (see phase III) held last year with a tool I developed named <a title=\"optiEDS\" href=\"http:\/\/optiwater.com\/optieds\/\">optiEDS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the Water Security Congress earlier this month in Nashville, Katie Umberg of the EPA presented the\u00a0preliminary\u00a0results of the challenge. Due to some restrictions and issues the five tools which participated in the challenge can&#8217;t be identified and they are named v, w, x, y and z.
