The first one is the <a title=\"MWH Soft and Wallingford Software Combine Companies  \" href=\"http:\/\/www.wallingfordsoftware.com\/news\/fullarticle.asp?ID=900\">joining<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mwhsoft.com\">MWH  Soft<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wallingfordsoftware.com\/\">Wallingford Software<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.water-simulation.com\/wsp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/mwhsoft_wallingfordsoftware.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-439 alignleft\" title=\"mwhsoft_wallingfordsoftware\" src=\"http:\/\/www.water-simulation.com\/wsp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/mwhsoft_wallingfordsoftware.gif\" alt=\"mwhsoft_wallingfordsoftware\" width=\"250\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>MWH Soft, based in Broomfield, Colorado, U.S. and Wallingford Software, based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, U.K. are both leading providers of hydraulic modeling software to water and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.water-simulation.com\/wsp\/category\/storm-sewer-software\/\">wastewater<\/a> utilities around the world.\u05b2\u00a0 The combined firm will be able to provide a full suite of software products geared toward hydraulics and hydrology.<\/p>\n<p>\u05d2\u20ac\u009cThe joining of these companies allows us to add another dimension to our product offering,\u05d2\u20ac\u009d says Dr. Paul Boulos, President of MWH Soft.\u05b2\u00a0 \u05d2\u20ac\u009cBy combining two companies with a reputation for excellence in the modeling industry, we will be able to address the full needs of our clients globally.\u05b2\u00a0 We are excited to work together with Wallingford Software.\u05d2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u05d2\u20ac\u009cThis is a tremendous opportunity to expand our service offerings for our clients, as well as expand into new geographies,\u05d2\u20ac\u009d says Andy Brown, Wallingford Software European Operations Director. \u05d2\u20ac\u009cWe are looking forward to this new frontier.\u05d2\u20ac\u009d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The second is the <a href=\"http:\/\/pressreleases.autodesk.com\/index.php?s=118&amp;item=627\">announcement<\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/\">AutoDesk<\/a> of the acquisition of certain assets from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bossintl.com\/\">BOSS International<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Autodesk<\/em>, Inc., a world leader in 2D and 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, has announced the acquisition of certain assets from BOSS International, Inc. to further expand its water resources analysis capabilities for the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. <a title=\"StormNET\" href=\"http:\/\/www.water-simulation.com\/wsp\/2006\/05\/31\/rivercad-and-stormnet-updates\/\">StormNET<\/a> for stormwater management analysis, <a title=\"RiverCAD\" href=\"http:\/\/www.water-simulation.com\/wsp\/2006\/05\/31\/rivercad-and-stormnet-updates\/\">RiverCAD<\/a> for floodplain analysis, and WaterNET for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.water-simulation.com\/wsp\/category\/water-simulation-packages\/\">water distribution analysis<\/a> will be more closely integrated with Autodesk&#8217;s model-based design solutions, including <em>AutoCAD Civil 3D<\/em>, to help engineers streamline workflows, reduce errors and boost productivity.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The deal by AutoDesk sounds exiting. In the past few months I was straggling to export a very large water network from AutoCAD to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.water-simulation.com\/wsp\/category\/epanet-related\/\">EPANet<\/a>.
