Following that conference, I wrote a post titled \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.water-simulation.com\/wsp\/2010\/12\/03\/waterwisesg-water-smart-grid\/\">WaterWiSe@SG \u2013 a huge step towards the Water Smart Grid<\/a>\u201d. A year later the project\u2019s team established a spin-off company called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visenti.com\/\">Visenti<\/a> based in Singapore. Today\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.xylem.com\/\">Xylem<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/investors.xyleminc.com\/phoenix.zhtml?c=247373&amp;p=irol-newsArticle&amp;ID=2217754\">announced<\/a> the acquisition of Visenti:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, we have completed the acquisition of Visenti, which provides products and services for utilities to optimize their drinking water networks, including in the rapidly growing areas of leak detection, pressure management and water quality monitoring. Visenti\u2019s portfolio is highly complementary to the Sensus offerings, and targets utilities\u2019 growing challenge of managing water loss, known as non-revenue water. This addition will enable us to immediately offer more valuable solutions to our customers. On top of this platform, a wide range of online and off-line applications were built: real-time leak detection and localization, online hydraulic modelling and simulation, water quality event detection, system operation module, data management system, system assessment and more. Their main products are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visenti.com\/?page_id=172\">PascalView<sup>TM<\/sup><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visenti.com\/?page_id=518\">OHMView<sup>TM<\/sup><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visenti.com\/?page_id=144\">DataIntel<sup>TM<\/sup><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visenti.com\/?page_id=206\">LeakIntel<sup>TM<\/sup><\/a> which are offered\u00a0in Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, South Korea, China, Qatar, the UK and other places.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Looking at Xylem&#8217;s stock performance over the past few years it is clear they know their business so I&#8217;m sure they will be able to use the knowledge and capabilities of Visenti. Leveraging the big-data expertise of Visenti with Xylem recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xylem.com\/en-us\/news-and-events\/press-release-archive\/Pages\/Xylem-Inc-to-acquire-Sensus-a-global-leader-in-smart-meters-network-technologies-and-advanced-data-analytics-solutions-for.aspx\">accusation<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/sensus.com\/\">Sensus<\/a>, one of the largest AMR companies, could be one way to go. Analyzing pumps data is also an interesting option.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since 2011 I have been doing some consultancy work for Visenti.
