optiUnits – EPANet unit converter tool
optiUnits (beta) is a freeware tool that will allow the user to convert an EPANet model from one set of units to a different one.
Usage:
- Export your model from EPANet to an INP file.
- Run optiUnits.
- Click the File button and select the INP file.
- From the drop-down box, select the unit set that you want to convert to.
- Click the Convert button.
- You are done!
Download: optiUnits.zip (~15KB). If you face any problem running the program try to use the full setup program which includes the runtime dlls: optiUnits_Setup.zip (~1,440KB)
Note #1: The [RULES] section is the only section not converted yet.

I converted the tutorial network from GPM to LPS, but optunits also changed the “demand pattern”, “head pattern” and some of the tanks settings.
Does optiUnits work with the newest version of Epanet or may i have made a mistake?

Manuel – optiUnits should change all data including tank settings. With GPM, tank levels are in feet while in LPS its in meters.
Hello everyone,
Am a final year student using epanet for the modelling of a distribution tank. Am having difficulties in determining my tank initial level,maximum level, minimum level and the diameter of my tank. The width of my tank is 44m, length is 44m and height is 5m. Please i need your help on this. A copy of my work is attached
